AlterCall is a personal, owner-only desktop tool. Its sole user signs in from a desktop browser, selects a saved reference image, transforms a live camera feed through Decart, and routes the clean result into OBS for consensual entertainment calls and recordings.

## Product Purpose

AlterCall provides a clear path from a reference image to a stable, OBS-ready transformed camera feed. Success means the owner can understand the studio at a glance, begin a transformation without exposing a permanent API key, see session usage, and enter or leave clean output mode without disrupting the stream.

## Positioning

A private transformation studio that makes a sophisticated realtime video workflow feel as understandable as joining a normal video call.

## Brand Personality

Cinematic, clear, and controlled. The interface should feel nocturnal and technically capable without becoming cryptic, intimidating, or theatrical.

## Anti-references

AlterCall must not resemble a dense analytics dashboard, neon cyberpunk control room, generic gradient-heavy AI landing page, glassmorphic concept, or icon-only interface that forces the user to guess what controls do.

## Design Principles

- Keep the transformed video dominant while leaving important controls visible and labeled.
- Make connection, transformation, and output state impossible to confuse.
- Reveal technical detail only where it helps the owner recover from an error or configure OBS.
- Protect the permanent Decart credential behind the server boundary.
- Use familiar video-call patterns while giving the studio a distinct cinematic identity.

## Accessibility & Inclusion

Target WCAG 2.2 AA contrast, complete keyboard operation, visible focus, readable labels, non-color status cues, and reduced-motion alternatives. Camera, upload, authentication, and session errors must be stated in plain language.
